The 'In Spirit' Project

1. The 'In Spirit' Project

At the reception, we're going to have a special little table set up with some memorabilia and pictures of people who we've lost and who we wish could be there in person...my grandparents, Bri's grandma, and his aunt who passed away; and a few others. On the table, we're hoping we can enlist the help of people from coast to coast: we are inviting well-wishers from anywhere in the world to send us a small item from the land. A small rock, a bit of sand, a twig, a shell, or anything else similar. (This may go without saying, but please nothing live [or freshly dead!], and that includes plants/seeds that could spread and cause enviro-issues.) Maybe it's something from around your house (a length of yarn from the first blanket you knitted when you got married? A button from the suit you wore on your first date? Be creative, and it doesn't have to be wedding-specific--not everyone is married or wants to be!)

Basically, send us a little something that says, "Hi!" from wherever you are in the world. If you can, please include your name, your location, and something about the item (ie. type of tree the twig came from). We will then display all these treasures on the 'In Spirit' table.

There's something really amazing about how far-reaching this project has become, and how many people around the world have sent us good wishes. We would love to have you help celebrate this unexpected and unique aspect of our wedding.

The address to send to (thank you, unnamed friend, for playing mailman for us), is:
