Offers: List 2

We're at my brother's place for Hallowe'en candy fun, but I wanted to be sure we update you all on offers.

STATIONARY--A COOL OFFER!: We received an email this week from a woman named Milena, of Pink Pug Ink, based in New Jersey. We haven't met (we're still waiting to hear how she learned about P:P), but she is an awesome master of the papercraft (card making, 3D papercraft, and much more). She has offered to make some sort of item for our wedding, though (understandably!) she thinks 200 invites may be a bit much. But something like table numbers or something else may be just up her alley. We wrote to her and basically we've decided to open it up to everyone: what do you think she should make for us? You can check out her blog at http://pinkpugink.blogspot.com/ and comment right on this posting about what she should make for our big day.

LEGAL FEES: Marion MacGregor, a Toronto-based lawyer (and Brian's aunt), has offered to do the notarization for our wedding legal papers. As we have no idea what is required to be 'legally' married, we are extremely grateful for this offer and have followed it up with questions about what else we need to do to, you know...be, uh, married.

FASHION: Stephanie Polegato has offered to design me a purse for my wedding day. Stephanie, if you have a website for your works, let me know. I was able to surf through her creations on facebook and I'm very excited. You think you can pull off some sort of messenger bag? I never travel light. :)

DRESSES: A bank teller at TD Bank whom I have never met before offered the loan of her wedding dress, after she gets hitched in the summer. She is a friendly customer at Brian's work, and while she is several inches thinner than I am, and about a foot taller than I am, we were both really impressed with her generous offer. Brian will find out her name for us.

My mom also offered my grandmother's dress (I don't think I've mentioned this yet); it's from the 80's and would need a ton of alteration to be something I'd ever, ever wear. But the sentiment is very sweet, and I say a big thank you to my mom for the offer, plus a special thank you to my grandma, who I miss every day.

  2. Tamara, I'd love that...depending on the size of the venue (and thusly, the size of the guestlist), this may or may not be an option.

I'm going to do a post soon with pictures of some of Milena's work; she does some cool 3D stuff. Maybe something to sit on the table with the guestbook?
